Our story.
Built on experience.
At Regilo, we develop, install and supply everything needed to bring generation, energy storage and consumption together. Regilo Solutions develops and supplies the EMS technology, software and products that support this. We help people and businesses make better use of the energy and capacity available to them. Based in Groningen, we draw on experience from our own installation work.

Our origins
It started with a sailing boat
2014
The beginning of our story.
Our story began in 2014, with the design of a self-sufficient sailing boat for a journey around the world. Our founder Niels Tammeling used his mechanical engineering knowledge to make the boat self-sufficient. It was his graduation project, which he worked on for a total of four years.
On board, the energy supply had to work reliably: generating power, storing it and making sure enough was available when needed. The first installation combined Victron technology with Pylontech batteries. That experience became the foundation for our later work. And the question remained the same: how do you make all the components work well together?

Taking action.
The sailing project also led to 4Green Foundation. Niels Tammeling and Bibi Brongers share their experience of self-sufficient living and teach children about plastic and recycling. Practical knowledge and learning by doing remain part of our approach.

From energy storage to energy management
Making generation, storage and consumption work together also matters for businesses with solar panels, farms with a wind turbine and sites with EV charging points. More equipment is being added, while the grid connection limits what can run at the same time. Coordinating the components helps make better use of what is available.
That is what we do with Regilo EMS. Our software controls connected devices according to the installation’s settings and limits. This can help you use more of your own solar power, reduce consumption peaks and match EV charging to the available capacity. The available functions depend on the equipment and the system configuration.
Regilo is growing with the demand for smart energy systems. From Groningen, founders Niels Tammeling and Peter Gosselaar are building on this ambition with their teams, each contributing their own expertise within Regilo. This brings technology, installation and system integration closer together.

Developed from practical experience
Our colleagues at Regilo Systems design, install and maintain energy systems. Every day, they see what works well and what could be improved. We use that experience to develop our software and make installation and day-to-day use simpler.
Install. Connect. Control. Regilo Solutions supplies the Re.Base controller, connecting supported devices and handling local control. Our Re.Connect installation app helps installers with preparation, configuration and commissioning. This enables other installers to work independently with Regilo and benefit from the knowledge we build together.
